The Rosemary Branch logo is a moving triangle representing a multi-faceted space. Each plane is a different colour. The triangle shrinks and grows while rotating.

THEATRE

BREAKBONE (The Ts & Cs of a Mosquito Byte)

The end begins with a mosquito bite.

The dengue fever hallucinations of a Dominican artist serve as a catalyst to question and push the boundaries of their body and virtual reality, while the Doomsday Clock ticks closer to midnight.

Devised between islands (Chiloé, Dominican Republic, and London), this play is based on a collection of poems by Dominican actor/artist Víctor Arcturus Estrella, and directed online by Chilean director Francisco Noulibos. It was inspired by Víctor's own severe dengue infection more than a decade ago. This show explores what it means to own (or not) a body on the brink of a virtual phase of late-stage capitalism.

The play whimsically explores the body in relation to the end of the world, identity, mortality, capitalist-realist-virtuality, and our place in the universe. It blends physical theatre, poetry, performance art, and audience participation with high doses of irony and vulnerability, while transiting across English, Spanish, and visual languages.
