The Rosemary Branch logo is a moving triangle representing a multi-faceted space. Each plane is a different colour. The triangle shrinks and grows while rotating.

DANCE/THEATRE

I Wanna Be Mark Wahlberg

A solo dance theatre show exploring a performer's relationship to the masculine gender role.

I want to be a strong, and unquestioned leader. I want to be the assumed first string of my touch team and while I’m there, I want to ‘one up’ the boys. I want to be uncompromising, but entirely forgiven because of my exuberant charisma. I want to kick around the house in my boxer shorts. I want to be the hero and feel proud. I want to be the villain and feel proud. I Wanna be Mark Wahlberg.

This is a work-in-progress showing of a complete reworking of a previously performed show, where I interrogate my relationship to the masculine gender role.
